Little Known

Against such things there is no law

Our birthright is happiness and success.

God created mankind to succeed.  Then He gave him the power of achievement.  Powers God created emanate from our brain.  Do you know that science, in recent years is discovering that thoughts, beliefs, and expectations are actually powers within our brain?  Some may find this surprising, but I was not.  For thousands of years these same powers have been talked about and written about by philosophers worldwide.   And guess who taught of them more than 2000 years ago.  Yes, Jesus Christ, the greatest teacher of truth the world has ever known.  Our lives evolve from the powers of the brain.

God's design for man included two levels of power within us.  Our brain was designed to function subconsciously and consciously.  The subconscious functions with automatic responses.   For example breathing or swallowing.  You don’t have to say to yourself breath or swallow.  You just do when necessary.   The second level of power within is the conscious learned responses activated by our will.  For example you consciously think about scratching that itch; you then choose to scratch or not.  Our will to choose was also instilled in us all by our Creator.  One aspect of the fascinating human design is that some of the automatic subconscious responses can be willfully, that is consciously, activated by our will to choose.  An example of such a conscious choice is when we are seeing our doctor and they say "Now take a deep breath and hold it."  Choices we make are tremendously significant in determining the success of our life journey.

Success or failure will be determined by attitude

There are no other powers in the universe known to man that could hold a candle to the powers within us and the power available to us as Christians.   Success, our birthright, is intended for body, soul, and spirit.  Concerning these powers within, here I share with you a condensed summary of what I have learned over my many years of learning from others, and from my experiences of failures and successes resulting from how I use the powers that works in me.

“Our rewards in life depend on our thoughts, beliefs, choices, and actions.  Whatever our circumstances in life or our environment may be, we will become successful, fail, or remain the same, depending on our thoughts, our visions, our expectations, our aspirations, our beliefs, our choices, and our actions.   When our controlling thoughts and dominant aspirations are chosen and expressed [acted upon] in an attitude of love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self control, then we can be empowered for success.  God said, 'Against such things there is no law.'  Our fruit of the spirit literally shines forth in our personality as outer expressions of our inner attitude, empowering us for success or failure."  [see credits below]

Our REAL POWER comes to us when our thoughts, choices, and actions lead us to connect our spirit to the Creator’s spirit where we will find leading, guiding, inspiration, safety, and even success.  When we learn to blend all this into body, soul, and spirit equally, according to the power that works in us, then we will be on course to aligning our inner spirit with the Holy Spirit as in God’s design.

"Against such things there is no law."  Having all this power within makes me realize that if it’s going to be it’s up to me.  [see the credits below]

I have also included some biblical quotes that have great influence to the powers within.

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us…”  Ephesians 3:20

Remember “Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him”.  John 14:23

And let’s not forget the spiritual powers "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law."  Galatians 5:22-23

“For what man knows the things of a man except the spirit of the man which is in him? Even so no one knows the things of God except the Spirit of God.”   1 Corinthians 2:11

Biblical references are many, but here are a few that can be found in the NKJV:

Romans 5:5~~ Ephesians 3:20

In closing I want to say I have also learned that much more can be written about “the inner powers that are working in us.”  Could it be in Ephesians 3:20 the words  ”according to the power that works in us” is referencing  not only the Holy Spirit but other powers instilled in us by our Creator.   I will explore more on those powers next time, so watch your inbox for my next blog article “According to The Power That Works in Us.”
